The provincial government does not regulate seniors' living residences. It is, therefore, important to ensure that the residence you choose delivers on all of its service commitments. Rideau Place on-the-River is a strong supporter and approved member of the Ontario Residential Care Association (ORCA) which is the provincial body responsible for monitoring the retirement living sector. Rideau Place on-the-River has been awarded ORCA's highest certification three (3) years during its last inspection. ORCA is recognized by the Ontario Government which also helps fund a Consumer hotline. |

The residence has a sprinkler system throughout the building and management works closely with local fire authority on the annual approval of a fire plan. The staff and management also co-ordinate and record regular fire drills. |

Yes, we provide short-term accommodation in response to a range of individual needs and interests. Our professional nursing team is available 24 hours a day to monitor your personal care needs. Convalescent care includes personal care assistance, on-site Physiotherapy and Nutrition Services. For additional fees, you can arrange, for cable, our state-of-the-art telephone system (which connects you to on-site staff around the clock) and continental breakfast delivered to your suite, when you're feeling under the weather.
